Chinese 60th National Day!

I just watched the grand parade in Beijing celebrating China’s 60th National Day and wow! What a display!

I thought about the communication that is intended in such a grandiose show. What message do you think the parade is purposed to send and who do you think the intended audiences are?

I think the audience obviously should be divided by two groups, one is the inside part and the other is the outside part. The inside can include the Chinese citizen who care this country in what conditition? and the outside can be the ones who consider China is an opponent.
This grand parade just one part of the celebration, it is a show. I think people can get the idea from the show is that we Chinese should have enough confidence to overcome the present world problem, or get a warn that China is so strong that it can not be defeated in such easy way. Well, I just say it in a very genenral way.=)

One thing the parade want to tell the world is that now china is a very powerful country, we show our army, our lethal weapen, but we also empasize our hormorious folks and peaceful hopes.

Facing some international border problem, China have argument with neighbor. China also want to tell the world “Don’t try to do some silly act of aggression, china will not give up using weapons to protect our territory.
